GOALS

Ensuring the wellbeing of nature by going Solar

Kalundewa Retreat with a vision to a holistic eco-friendly approach to linking humans to nature embraced the use of the Sun’s free energy to generate electricity by commissioning Jlanka to install a solar PV system on the retreat’s premise cutting half of their carbon footprint.

CHALLANGES

Executing the project with less disturbance on daily activities of the premises

The main challenge in this project was to execute the project without disturbing the daily business activities of the retreat and with a minimal alteration to it’s aesthetic architectural design. What was even more challenging was the optimum design obtained through technical studies not fitting the client’s vision of eco-friendly agro tourism, which in return made this a team effort to overcome all the challenges and complete the project in a very short period. JLanka Technologies the premier solar power providers always see challenges as an opportunity to learn so our stakeholders could reaps the benefits of yet another successful project.

OUTCOME

A premium energy solution that generates more energy than expected

We at JLanka believe in going beyond expectation and striving to achieve the best for our clients, providing them with our skilled expertise and quality service. A feat that was evident when the actual energy output of the system was higher than pledged.

Annual Environmental Savings

Bulbs Powered per day 75,000
Fuel Saved in l per year 7,300
system capacity 18 kWp

CO2 Saving Tons per year 10
Trees planted per year 33
Coal saved Tons per year 9
SOLAREDGE

SolarEdge provides module-level electronics for solar power harvesting and monitoring for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar.

TRINA SOLAR

Trina Solar provides the highest standards of quality for PV systems with high-caliber production paving the way to become the first PV company to earn UL’s Client Test Data Program Certification.

SYSTEM USED

A solar system installed with the highest quality products which influences the energy output and adapts to any environment

A system capacity of 70 x 250 W supplied by an on structure system, made up of 70 x 250 W TrinaSolar Multi Crystalline Modules and 1 x 27.6 kW Solar Edge Inverters results in this system being capable of supplying nearly 100% of the facility’s day time electricity consumption.

UNIQUE FEATURES

Performance Transparency

Client has the ability to remotely access and monitor the performance and delivery of the Solar PV system via the monitoring portal provided by J Lanka for the installed system. This guarantees 100% transparency and service quality for the clients’ investment.

Quality & Reliability

Throughout the project J Lanka consistently strive to deliver quality and adhere to international standards and instituting stringent quality control processes. The monitoring platform enable both the client and J Lanka to review the performance and the delivery of the solar PV system.

A Solid Structure

The solid structural design of the solar PV system was done with the help of latest structural engineering tools. Visualization and Simulation tools were used to gain a greater insight on the project for an efficient service and a quality delivery.

Reduced O&M Costs

Increased system uptime and pin-pointed issue identification has enabled the client to reduce their maintenance costs with real time monitoring and remote troubleshooting abilities of the solution.
