As a company involved seafood exports, Alpex is dependent on the resources from the sea. As a gratitude, the company wanted to come forward to give back something to the nature and to have the responsibility in giving back.
They identified the influence of toxic wastages and pollution that is harming the ocean front which is their main resource and as a responsible company; they wanted to take measures to do their part in safeguarding Mother Nature. Therefore the best solution they opted for was for ‘solar powered electricity’.
As the EPC contractor for the project, J Lanka Technologies had a challenge to install maximum solar PV capacity on their roof. Our designers were able to install solar modules on different facades of Alpex’s factory in order to maximize the roof space and avoid unnecessary costs.
It was another challenge to execute project with zero negative incidents, this was a challenge a JLanka as the project was in the heart of industries (within Colombo region). This brought in 100% support and teamwork from all our stakeholders helping us deliver satisfied project implementation.
We at JLanka believe in going beyond expectation and striving to achieve the best for our clients, providing them with our skilled expertise and quality service. A feat that was evident when the actual energy output of the system was higher than that pledged. Our clients we able to obtain over 2% more from the energy output than expected, due to the meticulous planning and careful management of this project, two areas in which our team of experts excel.
Carbon Footprint 111 Tons
Power Generation 207 KW
A capacity of 207kW supplied by a roof top on-grid system, made up of 647 TrinaSolar Multi Crystalline Modules and 7 Solar Edge Inverters results in this system being capable of supplying nearly 100% of the facility’s day time electricity consumption.
